Date By the Ocean

Date By the Ocean

My baby boy turned 5 on Friday, so we spent the entire weekend celebrating his birthday. Friday night we went to Adventureland where he took me on this ride called Turbulence. I have gone on many roller coasters in my life - The Scream Machine, Nitro, and Batman to name a few. This ride was way scarier! I had my arm across his lap the whole ride (like that would actually do anything) but mom instinct kicks in and that arm automatically goes across that waist! When we got off the ride, he was cool and collected, while I had to wipe the tears off my face and make sure I was walking straight! The next night, my husband and I decided we definitely need some alone time and made a date at the Ocean Restaurant in Bayville.

The Ocean Restaurant is a perfectly located right on the beach. I will go into further detail about the restaurant in my next food post and will keep this post all about the outfit.

This outfit is a combination of some high and low priced items. The top is on the expensive side but I just loved the gold color and the ruffle detailing. It is a perfect color for summer as the sun glistens beautifully off of it. The jeans I am wearing are one of my best finds this year and the cost is beyond amazing! They are by Articles of Society, which is my new favorite jean brand. The fit is perfect and the price is under $100! I finished off the look with some statement pieces in a bold color to contrast with the outfit and add some pop to the look. All details and links below.
