Ask Alice

This year I have a couple of big events to attend and I need formal dresses to wear to them. Instead of googling stores in the area, I remembered a gorgeous dress my niece had worn to a family’s Bat Mitzvah. Her dress was from Ask Alice boutique in Syosset. I wrote the name down when she told me where she bought it, but before now didn’t have a chance to visit. Now with these events to shop for, I knew it was the right time to check out this boutique.

When I walked into Ask Alice, I was greeted by a friendly saleswoman named Elise. I told her what I was looking for and she was extremely helpful in finding the right dresses for my occasions. We went to the bottom floor which is where the formal and cocktail dresses are located.

April 20th I am attending the Woodbury Ball for Autism. This is going to be a magnificent event and I needed the right dress to celebrate it in style. Elise brought me a few options but I fell in love with a hand-made sequin dress by Scala. I have attended many black-tie events with my husband and most of my gowns are strapless or halter style. After several hours in these dresses, they become uncomfortable and even though they are beautiful, not worth the discomfort. This dress is not only beautiful but comfortable as well.

The end of April I am attending a very special family event – my niece’s Bat Mitzvah! I am so excited to celebrate her special day and since I will be with my kids, I need a dress that is both beautiful and conducive to being with my children. Elise showed me this gorgeous Baccio dress that is actually hand-painted. Once I tried on this dress, I knew my search was over. This dress is so well constructed and the details are beyond stunning.

After I tried on the dresses, I ventured upstairs to the main floor. The main floor is where shoppers can find every day casual type clothing. I found a great pair of ripped jeans and a beautiful nude colored cold-shoulder sweater.

I’m so happy to announce that Ask Alice is generously giving 20% off the ENTIRE purchase for LI Fashionable Foodie readers. Please mention this article when you shop for the discount. Excludes Baccio, Jovani, and accessories.

Ask Alice has locations in Syooset and Oceanside. If you are unable to make it to the store, you can also follow Ask Alice on Instagram or Facebook.
