Last Thursday was my husband’s birthday, so we celebrated by having a date night at one of our favorite Long Island Restaurants - Jedediah Hawkins. We went there for the first time last summer and have been thinking about it ever since!

Jedediah Hawkins is located in Jamesport, which is right at the beginning of the Hamptons. It is situated on a beautiful sprawling property complete with a gazebo and a stunning architectural walkway.

The beauty of eating at Jedediah Hawkins is that they embrace the local bounty and the menu is farm to table focused. All of the ingredients are seasonal and the menu slightly changes throughout the year, depending on what is available.

Below are some of the dishes that we tried. My favorite dish of the evening was the Gazpacho. I haven’t had Gazpacho in a long time and this one was fresh, light and full of flavor.

watermelon & feta salad baby arugula, pickled red onions, balsamic

All of the dishes were delicious and you really cannot go wrong with anything that you order!

Pro Tip - If you plan to sit outside (which I definitely recommend), go early evening - 6:30/7 pm. This way you can see the beautiful property, take great photos and not be bothered by the bugs! Last time we went at a later time and had to move inside because the gnats were driving us nuts!
