Yogurtini - Smithtown, NY

Where can you find acai bowls, cookie dough and self-serve yogurt all in one location? Yogurtini in Smithtown! Yogurtini carries the hottest trending dishes that are not just pretty to look at, but delicious to eat!

When Ellen Bedziner opened Yogurtini in 2012, her vision was to be unlike the traditional yogurt shop. Ellen's goal is to create an environment that is up to date with the current trends, and is constantly evolving to satisfy her customers' needs.  To achieve this goal, Ellen likes to get creative and continually adds new items to her menu.

One dish that has just been added is the cookie dough cannoli. Ellen takes a small cannoli shell and stuffs it with cookie dough! Yes, it is as delicious as it sounds! The crunch of the cookie is a wonderful contrast to the ooey gooey smoothness of the cookie dough.

The hottest trending dish right now is an Acai bowl. Ellen takes it a step further by adding Pitaya to her bowls. Pitaya, also known as Dragon Fruit, is a superfruit indigenous to Central and South America that is now grown all over the world. The combination of these two superfruits packs this bowl with a ton of antioxidants and wonderful flavor. Ellen calls this dish the Rainbow Bowl. In addition to the pitaya and acai blend, Ellen adds crunchy granola, fresh cut strawberries, blackberries and mango to the bowl. My favorite part of the bowl is the mango. It adds such a fresh taste to the bowl and livens up the flavor of the entire dish.

Ellen creates all her own yogurt flavors at Yogurtini. The day I stopped in she had unique flavors such as double cappuccino, graham cracker, frozen hot chocolate, and sea salt caramel pretzel. Being aware of dietary restrictions, Ellen also offers a dairy free option, a vegan option, a no sugar added option and the famous only 8. The famous only 8 is fat-free, gluten-free and under 70 calories for an entire 8 oz cup!

My favorite dish at Yogurtini is the cookie dough! I love cookie dough and Ellen offers the traditional chocolate chip flavor but also offers her own creative versions as well. The cookie dough flavors are cake batter, s'mores, m&m pretzel crunch and reeses pieces. I tried all of the flavors except the reeses pieces. I don’t eat any dishes with peanut butter because my son has a peanut allergy. My favorites were the s'mores and the m&m pretzel crunch. The s'mores cookie dough is sweet and extra gooey with the added marshmallow. The m&m pretzel crunch cookie dough has a wonderful sweet and salty flavor.

Ellen is constantly creating new items to add to her menu. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
