Meatball Marsala

Giada De Laurentiis took two of my favorite meals and combined them to make one delicious dish. My kids are not a fan of mushrooms yet, so I only served them the meatballs, without the sauce. In addition, Giada serves her meatballs with mashed potatoes, but I used egg noodles as a friendlier children's option.

12 oz ground beef chuck

12 oz sweet Italian sausage meat

1/3 cup breadcrumbs

1 large egg, lightly beaten

1 ½ cups low-sodium chicken broth

Freshly ground pepper

Kosher salt

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

12 oz sliced mixed mushrooms

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1 cup dry Marsala wine

1 cup fresh parsley, chopped (I didn't use this ingredient - but feel free to if you want to add some color to your dish)
