Valentine's Day At Home

How many of you are planning to go out for Valentine’s Day this year?

The last couple of years, my husband and I decided to skip the Prixe Fix menus and instead spend Valentine’s Day at home. I can honestly say that I do not miss the overpriced bills and under-satisfying meals.

If you are planning to stay home this year, here are some easy recipe ideas for your Valentine’s dinner.

Mozzarella and Tomato Caprese

Get some Fresh Mozzarella from your local Italian supermarket, Fresh Tomatoes, Balsamic Glaze, Basil and top it with a little Sea Salt. Delicious and super simple!

Shrimp Cocktail

Who knew this dish could look so festive! Pick up the Shrimp Cocktail at the store and plate it so it looks like a heart.

Heart-Shaped Ravioli

The first Valentine’s Day my husband and I spent together, we went to an Italian restaurant. They served the most delicious Lobster Ravioli and now no Valentine’s Day is complete for me without a heart-shaped ravioli of some kind.

Instant Pot Mongolian Beef

Instead of slaving over the stove, put the Instant Pot to work. This is one of my favorite recipes and it is delicious every time.

Filet Mignon

In case you don’t have an Instant Pot, you can make a classic Filet Mignon. It’s always a crowd pleaser!

Instant Pot Lava Cake

While you are enjoying your main dish, whip up this super easy and decadent dessert

Flourless Chocolate Cake

Again, in case you don’t have an Instant Pot, this is a great alternative. The recipe is relatively simple and will give you a similar flavor profile to the lava cake.

Strawberries & Champagne

Finish off the meal with some Strawberries & Champagne and channel your inner Pretty Woman!

Hope you have a Happy Valentine’s Day no matter how you decide to spend it! I love Valentine’s Day because it is a nice reminder to take a minute to stop being so busy and concentrate on the ones that we love.
